Hilton Garden Inn Moisture Assessment

Northern construction techniques normally do not work in Southern climates. Such is the case at this hotel whose new construction suffered from errant organic manifestation and poor air quality.

FEI was retained by Maas Brothers construction to evaluate and diagnosis persistent cold-weather leakage at a recently completed surgical corridor.

Cherokee Roof & Attic Expert Witness

The Cherokee II Condominium Homes Association experienced multiple severe incidents of ice dam-related damage throughout all of their twelve buildings. 

In many units, damage affected both second and first floor units due to moisture migration.  

FEI analyzed the existing conditions to identify construction deficiencies. These resulted in increased propensity for ice damming. Ultimately, FEI designed a repair solution. 

FEI provided bidding support, construction administration, and quality assurance for the Owner.

CUNA Mutual Group

FEI was retained by CUNA Mutual Financial Group to analyze and design problematic conditions affecting their main computer server room.  Located on multiple floors, CMFG was unable to maintain consistent interior environmental conditions which were affecting critical server functions.  

Athletics Hockey / Swimming Facility Kohl Center (LaBahn Hockey Arena)

The LaBahn Hockey and Swimming facility addition included an underground walkway to the Kohl Center as well as spaces for locker rooms, offices, and training facilities. The demanding construction schedule necessitated careful selection and utilization of below-grade waterproofing systems to insure timely completion.

An unfortunate ill report card bestowed on the collection of owners at Highbridge Condominiums did not prevent them from making their building right again. Every building envelope component required consideration to avert premature failure. So with report in hand, FEI embarked on their proposal to remedy the situation.
